Nitrous Oxide, commonly known as ‘laughing gas’ due to its euphoric effects on patients, can be used for patients with dental anxiety to provide relaxation during their treatment. Nitrous Oxide is administered to the patient through a mask or nasal hood. The gas works quickly and is rapidly eliminated from the body with Oxygen, making it a safe option for many patients.
